Residenz Palace in Munich

Beautiful palace in the middle of Munich! The Residenz was the palace of the Bavarian kings and it reflects their power and riches through the palace itself, the impressive royal collection of treasures and the beautiful Cuvilliés theatre.

The palace has been continuously extended by various kings and comprises of multiple wings and inner yards. The newest wing faces the Opera square while the old wing is towards the Hofgarten (where the beautiful pink chestnuts are!).

I really love the small Italian-looking inner yard with the beautiful water fountain 🙂
