Vienna is a great city! We first visited it in July 2003 and, very recently, in July 2012. There are so many things to do and see in Vienna but the cafe experience is my favourite thing! At any time during the day you can go into a cafe and have from just a coffee to a full meal! My favourite place is Cafe Mozart but I also liked Cafe Central and the Palmenhaus.
We went back to Vienna in March 2022. It was such a beautiful time to be there! We went from still cold weather at the beginning of our stay to full-bloom spring by the end (i.e., one week). While we were there, the trees started blooming and the weather got quite warm. This time we did not enjoy Cafe Mozart as much as before, mainly because it was quite crowded and the service was not quite friendly. But we did explore other areas of Vienna that we somehow missed before. The highlights of this trip were the Stadtpark and some smaller cafes and restaurants we found, mostly away from the centre.
2003
First visit to Vienna. I was happy to see The Kiss at the Belvedere and the Secession building. We also took a nice cruise on the Danube and enjoyed Cafe Mozart. We also went to the main palaces, like Hofburg and Schönbrunn.
2012
This time we wanted to see the inside of the Musikverein, so we booked a tourist concert, stayed only halfway and took pictures of the inside 🙂
