Last weekend we went to see Straubing, based on the description from my DK Munich guide. It is a very nice place, on the Danube and close to the Bavarian Forest. I would have liked to see the Asam church at the Ursuline convent but it was under renovation. The other church that is supposed to be very nice, St. James, was also closed for tourists because of some works at the organ. So we will need to go back when the churches open for tourists 🙂 We did see a nice church at the Carmelite convent.
