We’ve just come back from a short trip to Germany and, this time, we stayed in a vineyard property in the Lieser village, right on the Mosel. We had an amazing time and very much enjoyed waking up with views of the Mosel every morning. We were also lucky enough to be there during harvest time, so we saw how they made wine and brought back some young wine (federweisser). For the first time in 14 years, we also took a riverboat cruise from Bernkastel to take full advantage of the amazing weather and the golden colours of the vineyards. This is definitely a great time to go to the Mosel. It can be colder but the vineyards look amazing when they turn yellow.
