Salzburg

During our daytrip October vacation, we also went to Salzburg. We were in Salzburg before, in 2016, when it was really hot and crowded. We hoped that a trip during a weekday and in October might be more enjoyable. It was indeed less crowded and we were even lucky to have some sun 🙂

Salzburg is a lovely place and it’s really nice to stroll around between shops, cafes and restaurants. We even had lunch at the same cafe we went to back in 2016, the Mus cafe in Residenzplatz.

This time we also managed to see the beautiful Baroque Dom inside. Quite spectacular, one of the nicest Baroque buildings we’ve seen so far!

The cemetery at the castle is really nice and interesting to visit though we left the crypt for some other time. We also left the castle for the next time 🙂

We spent a really nice day walking around, enjoying the streets and sights and trying to stay away from crowds, though this time only the shopping area was crowded so it was easier to avoid 🙂
