At the end of November 2024 we went to Porto. It is an interesting city, with lots of layers 🙂 It is sometimes tiring to walk around it, especially when carrying around camera and lenses. I found it challenging to just stroll, as I sometimes like to do, since walking from one place to another might not be as straightforward as one thinks when looking at the map 😉
However, it was a great trip and we saw some amazing places in Porto, such as Livraria Lello, the amazing tiled (azulejo) churches, the Palacio da Bolsa and the ocean 🙂
Initially I wasn’t sure about going to Livraria Lello, given all the tourist hype, but it’s an amazing place! Definitely better to book the tickets online before given that they only allow a limited number of people inside. Also, there is no other way to buy the tickets except online. We did buy them online on the spot but it was a bit stressful 🙂
The Palacio da Bolsa is also worth visiting, especially for the breathtaking Arabian room. I found it hard to leave that room 🙂 When we went, at the end of November, we had no issues buying the tickets on the spot, in the morning.
