In May 2014 we visited Florence for the first time. There are lots of things to see and photograph in the city but I did not feel very attracted to it at the beginning, I have to confess. I very much liked Palazzo Vecchio but I was disappointed by the inside of the Dome (except the actual Dome) and by the Uffizi. Uffizi is too much ‘variations on a certain (religious) theme’ and there are lots of guided tours that ‘confiscate’ the view to the main paintings and you find yourself more waiting for catching some time in-between the tours, which is very hard.

I really liked the Santa Croce and the Santa Maria Novella churches and the view from the Piazzale Michelangelo is a definite must!
