Photos from our two visits to Wales: one in August 2014 and the first one in May 2011. There are photos both from South and North Wales including places such as Snowdonia, Portmeirion, Anglesey, Crickhowell (in Brecon Beacons), Tintern (Wye Valley), National Trust properties (Chirk Castle, Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newyadd).
This was our first time in Wales, on our way by car to a conference in Dublin. We only stayed a few days, but we did get a nice overview of the pretty sights in Wales. We went up the Snowdon with the steam train, we saw the Caernerfon castle, checked out Portmeirion (an odd Italian style collection of villas), we saw the beautiful Holyhead area and Anglesey.

2014
Another trip to Wales, this time with my parents. First we stopped close to South Wales, to see the Severn Bore and then we went to North Wales. During this trip we visited various National Trust properties, such as Chirk Castle, Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd. Plus, we went again to see the beautiful lighthouse at Holyhead. One of the major highlights of the trip was seeing the Tintern Abbey. At sunset. Amazing!
